I had spent some time venting via Twitter yesterday and I could not see any of the several motivational and inspiring tweets I had subscribed to. Most times, when your eyes are the colour of rage, you can’t see past the haze. But when I had calmed down, I went back again and this tweet from Brian Tracy caught my attention:

This was great stuff for me in light of the recent hacking of my pages. What I have learnt is not to take security for granted. When you work with pc desktops or laptops, you need to take your security very seriously and this includes your antivirus.

In working with WordPress though, what I learnt was not to play with regular backups. My WP sites were all updated but I never bothered to save the backups. If I had done that I would simply have reinstalled WP and uploaded the backups instead of going back to square 1 with my blogs.

I’m sure I have more lessons to learn from this experience and like one of my friends on FB said, beauty will rise out of this ashes. What don’t break me can only make me stronger.
